To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator (Scrap Handler): with superior time management skills to join our busy South Edmonton location. This role is responsible for the safe operation of a material handler within the shredder yard and facility for the purpose of moving, loading and sorting materials on-site, and unloading customers. The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, have previous experience operating a material handler or other heavy equipment, sound judgment, and a positive can-do attitude.

This position is a night shift, Sunday to Thursday from 9:00PM to 6:00AM and the starting hourly rate is $27-32, dependent on experience. There will be an additional $2.00 per hour shift premium added as well.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate material handler in a safe and effective manner
- Move, reduce, process, and load materials as dictated by production activity
- Pile, spread, or sort product by grade for appropriate placement on site
- Understand product/material information
- Clean and service equipment as scheduled or required
- There is potential to cross-train into our Shredder and E-Crane as well
- Other assigned work as required

- 3+ years' experience operating hydraulic cranes/material handlers
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
