WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be responsible for the development and approval of vehicle pricing and revenue strategies for all Hyundai and Genesis models. In addition, you will provide competitive & market intelligence as well as Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV)/Greenhouse gas (GHG) Compliance profit-generating strategies to support the Product and Sales Teams. This key role will be responsible for developing market-based pricing proposals and implementation of pricing and production mix strategies to achieve product competitiveness, corporate profit, and sales targets. This role will be supported by one direct report:Competitive Intelligence & Pricing Specialist.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Developing and approving through Executive Management pricing & revenue strategies for both Hyundai and Genesis brands
  • Managing the development of robust commercial pricing models; clearly presenting inputs and outputs from the models to senior leaders and other stakeholders to drive decision making. This includes various inputs, such as volume discounts, margins, etc.
  • Developing and monitoring annual product revenue/margin targets and performance across portfolio.
  • Staying current and monitoring pricing performance in order to develop and refine pricing strategies and models and to maintain product competitiveness within our industry.
  • Partnering with the various product managers to establish and drive pricing vision, strategy, and plans to optimize revenue, market share, brand positioning and long-term profits by category and customer type.
  • Support the development of business case analysis for strategic projects (i.e. Long-range portfolio management, International tariff and sourcing, Compliance credit opportunities, General revenue generation projects, Long-term investment to environmental projects, etc.) in order to advise senior leaders on the most financially sustainable course of action.
  • Single-point of contact and managing strategic partnership with various vendors including JD Power, ALG, Canadian Black Book (CBB) and ChromeData, to ensure residual values of portfolio which are most accurate and competitive in the market, in order to optimize profitable sales structure.
  • Overseeing collection, analysis and distribution of relevant industry research to best advise senior leaders on both short-term and long-term product/pricing strategies.
  • Maintaining collaborative working relationships with multiple teams across the organization to understand the business landscape and to share information.
  • Maintaining close collaboration with counterparts in North America Regional Office in order to align with overall regional product and pricing strategies.
  • Closely work with multiple stakeholders to ensure pricing/profit deliverables are met on time to meet the vehicle launch schedules.
  • Manage the Competitive Intelligence & Pricing Specialist role to support the department deliverables while helping to develop the employee for future roles at HAC.
  • Work closely and take direction from the National Manager, Product Line Management to build reports, presentations and obtain pricing approvals.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • 7+ years of experience in a related field. Previous experience in the automotive industry is highly desired.
  • Strong understanding of the Automotive industry and competitive landscape.
  • Highly knowledgeable of Product financial information and profitability calculations.
  • Assertive team player, ability to positively influence without direct authority to drive deliverables.
  • Experience working with unstructured datasets and disparate data sources.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on MS Excel and PowerPoint; confident with intermediate functions, modelling and dashboard creation.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills; detail-oriented, self-starter and forward thinking.
  • Excellent written, verbal and Executive level communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with internal motivation to succeed.
  • Bilingual (Korean/English) is preferred but not required.
