We are currently looking to hire one (1) experienced full-time (30-40 hours per week) Health & Safety Officer. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting regular inspections, and implementing protocols to minimize risks associated with fuel handling and workplace hazards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough investigations into safety concerns, incidents, and
accidents occurring at the gas station, ensuring compliance with health
and safety protocols.
- Lead and participate in routine safety inspections of the gas station
premises to identify and rectify potential hazards related to equipment,
materials, and processes.
- Develop and implement tailored health and safety programs for the gas
station, encompassing training sessions, policies, and standard operating
procedures to minimize risks and enhance worker safety.
- Enforce adherence to organizational and governmental health and safety
standards by initiating appropriate procedures against violators within
the gas station environment.
- Provide comprehensive training sessions for gas station employees,
management, and the general public on relevant workplace safety practices
and protocols.
- Engage with stakeholders, including decision-makers and workers, to ensure
adherence to health and safety legislation and regulations, fostering
compliance and awareness.

Requirements:

- Work experience: Must have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience.
- Language: English.
- Education: College or other non-university certificate or diploma from a
program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Certification: Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, Workplace
Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
