As Production Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate aspects of the manufacturing processes, including production management, performance and resource allocation to meet goals. Your responsibilities will include managing production activities, ensuring efficiency, and meeting quality standards. You will utilize your leadership skills to supervise and motivate the production team to achieve production targets and optimize workflow. With your commitment to service and ability to manage changing priorities, you will enhance productivity, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of safety and excellence within the manufacturing environment.

This position will be based 100% on-site at our Delta, BC, manufacturing facility.

Location: DELTA, BC - On-site full-time in pre-fab facility
Work Hours: Align work hours with production day shift - Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Education & Qualifications, Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Science or related STEM field

Nice to Haves, but can be certified on the job:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Graduate degree/diploma in Construction Management or Operations Management
Certification in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS or similar
Level 1 or 2 Occupational First Aid certification
WHIMS certification
Skills & Experience, Required:
Minimum of 5 years experience in Manufacturing Management or Construction Management at a supervisory level or higher
Working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Proficient in scheduling, planning, and executing large complex construction and/or manufacturing project timelines using MS Project or similar software.
Proficient in reading technical drawings/blueprints, specifications, bill of materials, and CAD files.
Exposure to root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) techniques.
Proficient in using ERP systems.
Knowledge of process-related standards with good reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in MS Office software products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Nice to Have:
Understanding of timber construction and related techniques/ processes
Basic Fabrication, carpentry, machining and assembly skills
Experience with EPICOR ERP system
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and the proper implementation of industry practices in manufacturing
The Role & Responsibilities - Production Supervisor:
Communicate weekly production schedule and collaborate on rough-cut-capacity planning with the production planner.
Optimize the work cell (EPAL, FCAL, RMC) capacity usage and address production constraints through levelled production.
Participate in LEAN process design to improve the flow of information, materials, and products.
Work closely with building systems and project management to align production schedules with customer delivery requirements.
Ensure timely availability of essential documents and tools for Team Leads and address schedule deviations promptly.
Ensure all production employees understand customer project requirements.
Review daily production exception reports, prioritize efforts, and report to the manager.
Correct discrepancies in bill of materials, labour reporting, and operations completion reports.
Supervise your designated work cell production team leads (e.g., EPAL, FCAL, RMC).
Collaborate with other Production supervisors, production planner, and Warehouse Supervisor as needed.
Monitor and correct labour entries for accuracy, coordinating with the production planner.
Coordinate job progress and ensure timely completion of the bill of operations (BOO), reporting status to the Manager.
Reconcile Bill of Material discrepancies reported by production workers and communicate adjustments.
Monitor production employee attendance and manage time off.
Advocate, coach, and implement disciplinary actions for policy violations.
Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure materials meet the designated work cell production needs.
Adjust KANBAN levels based on inputs from production teams.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including demand forecasting and inventory reduction.
Ensure production goals and quality standards are met through communication with team members.
Participate in goal setting for production employees and communicate expectations.
Complete shift, non-conformance, and incident reports as directed by the manager.
Encourage open communication and active participation in safety initiatives to foster an EHS culture of collective responsibility.
Conduct EHS orientation for new workers, promote safe work practices, report EH&S incidents, and participate in investigations.
Comply with our administrative policies and procedures as set forth from time to time.
Complete other duties as we may request that are consistent with your abilities and responsibilities.
Important to Mention!
Must provide your own CSA-approved 6" safety footwear, required.
Proof of ability to remain and work in Canada.
Successful candidates may be required to submit to a background check.
We expect the hourly pay for this position to range between $90,000 and $110,000. The pay you receive will be based on market evaluation and various job-related factors, including your past work experience, relevant education and certifications (journeyman/unticketed), etc. Benefits are offered after 3 months.
