We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time temporary Monitor Room Operator to join our Resource Protection team in Langley, BC.
This temporary position is expected to last 12 months.
Reporting to the Monitor Room Supervisor, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining the CCTV, alarms, and access system along with supporting the Resource Protection department investigators and contractors with technical support.
This position will require the successful candidate to be available for after-hours support for operational emergencies.
You will be responsible for:
Providing technical support for the Resource Protection department investigators.
Assisting contractors with troubleshooting CCTV & Access Control problems in stores.
Working with the Monitor Room Supervisor on security plans at new stores and renovations.
Maintaining alarm permits.
Downloading and reviewing CCTV videos.
Completing alarm requests.
Completing access control requests.
You have:
Experience with security alarm and CCTV hardware and software.
Previous experience with security or loss prevention.
A valid BC Security License (an asset).
Previous experience providing technical support by phone and email.
Knowledge of security alarms and access control.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
The ability to offer after hours support.
You are:
Able to show high discretion, tact and diplomacy in handling and managing confidential/sensitive information.
A strong problem solver with superior analytical and troubleshooting skills related to computer hardware, software and network issues.
Organized with strong planning and time management skills.
An excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with strong observational skills.
