Your Role: Press Machine Operator
Do you possess a talent for precision and a fervor for artisanal craftsmanship? As a Press Machine Operator, your journey with us begins with a comprehensive 3-month training program in our specialized department. Once you have mastered the essentials, you will play an integral role in one of our production lines.
Location: New Westminster (Queensborough area) Schedule: Full-time permanent position (Monday - Friday)
Under the guidance of a Production Supervisor, you will collaborate with a team of 10-12 skilled individuals to ensure the quality and efficiency of our pressing operations.
More About the Role: As a Press Machine Operator, your responsibilities encompass:
Precisely executing apparel construction in accordance with model specifications and instructions from Team Leaders/Supervisors.
Diligent quality control, troubleshooting, and rectification of any quality issues, in coordination with the Quality Control Inspector and your Team Leader/Supervisor.
Embracing a culture of continuous improvement, leading initiatives for enhancement, and working collaboratively with your team to surpass previous achievements.
Ongoing cross-training and skill development to support all production lines as needed.
Your Future with Us: As you blend your thirst for knowledge with our Learning & Development Program, you will progress through our 9 skill levels, ultimately becoming a master of pressing operations.
Could You Be Our Next Press Machine Operator? You bring:
A minimum of 1-year experience in a fast-paced work environment (e.g., manufacturing, food services, hospitality).
Effective communication skills in English, with an understanding of multicultural dynamics.
Endurance for physically demanding tasks, including prolonged periods of standing and repetitive machine operations.
Excellent dexterity to maximize your potential.
Adaptability, flexibility, and a fearless attitude in a fast-paced, feedback-rich work environment.
An innovative spirit, always ready to provide feedback and propose fresh ideas.
Shift Schedule:
The company primarily operates on two shift schedules: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (standard) and 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (based on production line placement). Both shifts run from Monday to Friday. The company aims to minimize overtime and does not offer weekend overtime opportunities.

Compensation: Candidates start with a base pay of $18.50 per hour during their probationary period. After this period, their pay is assessed based on efficiency and the quality of their output.
Guaranteed Hours: Employees in these roles are assured a set number of hours. The company does not operate on a 24-hour schedule.
Company Shuttle: The company provides a convenient shuttle service to and from the nearest SkyTrain station, ensuring easy commuting for employees who do not drive.
