Join our team as our newest Design Engineering!
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Review customer data files to determine feasibility and tooling costs.
Generate part flow through automated work station.
Design of tube bending, forming, coining, piercing, broaching, machining and swaging components for automated work cells and prototype tooling.
Creation of detailed drawings and BOM's using Solidworks and AutoCAD.
Sourcing and coordination of raw material components for tooling builds
Assist in initial and production cell trails and problem diagnostics.
Prepare estimate of tool cost for quotations and engineering changes.
Creation of hydraulic and pneumatic schematics for automated work cells.
Print review including GD&T for new jobs and engineering changes.
Other duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
Post-secondary education in Engineering, technology or related field.
6 - 10 years of experience in related field focusing on design of tube forming, stamping, and metal cutting equipment an asset.
Proficiency on Solid works or any 3D CAD.
Knowledgeable with drafting practices.
Good communication both written and oral.
Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
Knowledgeable of materials and processes for design application.
