Candidates must be flexible to work days, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays, as necessary. _ This is a contract position. _
We are looking to employ a qualified Instructors to provide academic support to students, from diverse backgrounds and cultures, where English is not spoken as their First Language, while taking students' differences and needs into account.
The Teacher(s) will be responsible for planning lessons and activities, adopting a creative approach, and encouraging and motivating students to learn. The Teacher(s) will be able to create an environment that is conducive to learning and will encourage students to interact with each other to improve their English-speaking skills.
Demonstrate excellent verbal communication, written communication and interpersonal skills
Teaching and administrative duties including placement, data entry for course materials into ministry portals and evaluation/marking responsibilities;
Developing and conducting English Placement tests for college students on a semester basis;
Developing/updating ESL programs' curriculum and teaching ESL for multi-scopes (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and multi-levels (intermediate, advanced, and academic purpose);
Reviewing and rewriting the documentation in compliance with Languages Canada's requirements;
Delivery of curriculum of high school ESL programs in terms of course outlines, teaching hours' planning, and evaluation strategies;
Support drafting and editing all the marketing materials in terms of ESL program recruitment;
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor degree in STEM or Social Science background;
TESL Ontario or TESL Canada certification
OCT certification active and in good standing
Two years' teaching; experiences in teaching international students;
