Job Description
Supervise dock crew and service workers within the parts warehouse distribution center (sorting and/or cage consolidation);
Handle automotive parts to sort, load and unload trailers;
Utilize shipping software system to ensure all orders are picked and packed before shipping occurs;
Auditing orders for 100% accuracy and troubleshooting missing/extra/wrong parts;
Perform and manage the team in general cleaning and janitorial responsibilities: sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning walls, sanitation and maintain common areas;
Utilize daily planning tools to assist in workflow planning;
Maintaining a schedule of safety training for all employees;
Ensure all team member are supplied and use proper PPE;
Manage payroll and staffing within the internal payroll software system;
Hire hourly employees as needed including selecting candidates and conducting interviews;
Hold employees to productivity standards and employment standards;
Discipline employees when necessary up to and including dismissal;
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
At least 3 years' Supervisor experience within an industrial environment;
A minimum of 1 year of experience within a Unionized environment;
Experience in the automotive industry is considered an asset;
Computer proficiency in Google programs;
Able to work scheduled shifts (mornings/evenings);
Available and willing to work occasionally on weekends;
Motivated and self-driven person with an attention to detail;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
Customer service oriented;
Ability to commute to Red Deer, AB for work.
