Position Summary:

We are seeking a Full-time Operations Assistant at our Brockville Terminal.

Hours:

_ Day shift _ - 8:00am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday

_ Afternoon Shift _ - 2:30am to 11:00 pm, Monday to Friday

Position Responsibilities:
Attention to detail.
Appointment booking.
Bill accounts with accurate data entry.
Knowledge of transportation bills of lading and terminology.
Knowledge of client database.
Auditing of invoices to confirm all information has been captured.
Assist other members of the team as needed.

Position Responsibilities:
Carry out administrative activities associated with manifesting for various loads.
Establish work priorities, processing shipments to brokers, and ensures deadlines are met.
Provide various types of office support such as responding to customer inquiries, maintaining customer accounts, processing applications for service.
Extensive contact and interaction with the public in situations requiring problem resolution, and duties which relate specifically to customer concerns.
Research and follow up on customer problems and respond to questions.
Obtain information from the customer to perform a requested task.
Tracing and producing P.O.D.'s for customers.
Calling customers to confirm delivery on unsigned bills.
Answering customer pick-up calls.

Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience within the transportation industry preferred.
Previous experience with Microsoft Office software is considered an asset.
Previous experience with Customs/Brokerage is considered an asset.
Ability to work and learn in fast-paced environment.
Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and courteously with other staff.
Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively to accommodate a high-volume environment in order to meet deadlines.
