We are currently seeking a Full time Purchaser to join our team!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, team first candidate to fill this role. In this position the purchaser is responsible for placing and expediting PO s, managing inventory at an acceptable level and providing product information to the sales and customer service teams as required. This position works closely with all departments including sales, customer service, warehouse, and accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
• Issue and expedite purchase orders.
• Resolve invoicing discrepancies.
• Resolve supplier shipping errors.
• Maintain acceptable inventory levels.
• Monitor fill rates and backorders.
• Maintain system data as it relates to products and purchase orders (PO due dates, stock code maintenance, product pricing).
• Works with other branches/departments to ensure information is accessible to the sales and customer service teams.
• Other duties/projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Previous purchasing experience in a distribution environment preferred.
• Post -Secondary Education in related field.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Strong computer skills, previous ERP experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
