What you will do
The CFO of Canada is a strategic business partner to the Canada leadership team and is responsible for providing financial guidance and ensuring delivery of Canada's annual goals and strategic plan. The CFO maintains accountability for commercial performance, liquidity, tax and other regulatory compliance, risk management and directs and oversees a local Business unit finance team among other finance departments in the development of financial budgeting, reporting, forecasting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities
Providing strategic and financial leadership to the Canadian Organization to support accelerated market growth opportunities as well as new product introductions. Canada is a large business with net trade sales of $1.1 billion annually that includes a strong portfolio of brands including Tylenol, Nicorette, Neutrogena, Aveeno, Listerine., Reactine, Benylin, Imodium, Pepcid, Band Aid, Polysporin, Johnson's Baby, Clean & Clear, Lubriderm, Desitin, Vogue and NeoStrata.
Managing the finance functions for Canada business, with accountability of the Financial statements including P&L ownership & analysis, Cash Flow management, long range strategic planning leadership, portfolio management, talent development, innovation pipeline, advertising and promotional investment prioritization decision, internal and external partnerships.
Ensures financial processes and systems are in place in compliance with worldwide procedures and drives accountability throughout the organization, including engaging with internal and external auditors.
Collaborating strongly with the Commercial organization, Consumer Demand generation leads, Strategic Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, Project Management, Business Planning & Analytics, Global Brand Development teams, HR, Legal, Regulatory, IT and other functions necessary to accomplish strategic goals.
Enhances current practices and develops new solutions and strategies to strengthen the financial knowledge and operating performance.
Upgrade and implement an appropriate system of policies and internal controls and maintain robust accounting standards and procedures that align with broader company objectives.
Talent management, engagement, and development of the end-to-end Finance organization
Oversee alignment, connectivity and execution between Marketing Finance, Customer Finance, FP&A, Tax, Supply Chain Operations, Payroll and Treasury
Ensure all federal, provincial, and local tax and regulatory matters are managed in a timely manner. Includes annual and quarterly filings, and payments for the Company. Extends to long-term tax planning in collaboration with the Company's Audit Committee.
Engage with external partnership and Industry associations.
Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 10+ years of Finance/Accounting work experience required
Excellent analytical skills, superior communication, business partnering, critical thinking and problem-solving and prioritization skills required.
Desired Qualifications
10+ years at the Finance Management level preferred
Experience with commercial operations and Consumer Packaged Goods preferred
Ability to influence and succeed in a matrixed, cross-functional environment and across all levels of the organization needed. Self-motivated individual with demonstrated leadership, ability to work with senior management, people management and development skills preferred.
