Estimator Main Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Review drawings and specifications and identify the divisions of work.
• Create comprehensive and accurate estimates easily convertible to construction budgets
• Receive project documentation and create estimate breakdown
• Follow up with project success to update future estimates
• Qualify and analyze new vendors for potential use.
• Create and issue tenders for sub-contracting pricing
• Create and maintain a costing database for future budgeting
• Proactively follow up on tenders and RFIs

5+ years of experience in the role of Construction Estimator within a General Contracting firm

Experience in Industrial design build projects

Great track record of successfully winning bids/projects with values ranging from $1M-$30M.

Post-secondary diploma in a construction related discipline

Ability to be client-facing and increase project pipeline

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, potential problems, and timelines

Familiar with project management and estimating software programs highly capable with negotiation
