Management

Establish and ensure compliance with suitable internal controls, accounting protocols, and business standards

Develop and maintain a team framework that facilitates the efficient execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and reporting responsibilities in alignment with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Review journal entries, account reconciliations, corporate financial records, and other documentation to uphold compliance with US GAAP and company regulations

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to recognize and ensure compliance with new accounting standards (US GAAP)

Cultivate and sustain a proficient, objective-driven, and effective accounting team

Oversee the precision and efficiency of day-to-day accounting operations to uphold general ledgers and execute the monthly close and reporting procedures

Supervise the management of Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Credit and Collections teams

Provide support for internal and external audit procedures and quarterly financial statement reviews

Continually evaluate the processes for general accounting, monthly close and consolidation, and venue contract administration

Develop and uphold effective internal controls as per Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and company guidelines, and collaborate with internal audit on control-related tasks

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential +8 years of accounting experience with at least 4 years in a people management capacity CPA required Experience as a controller, assistant controller, or in other senior-level accounting positions are required Demonstrated experience in overseeing financial systems implementations and upgrades Proven track record of redesigning and enhancing processes, procedures, and internal controls Familiarity with Oracle or SAP is preferred Experience in leading a large team and hands-on involvement in various accounting functions such as G/L, A/P, A/R, billing, credit and collections, and fixed assets Strong skills in hands-on reconciliation, with a high level of organization and attention to detail Previous experience in industries such as hospitality or service-based organizations is advantageous
