What will be your daily pursuit?: As a Payroll Specialist, you will be crucial in executing payroll processes using the ADP system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Acts as an integral team member and is responsible for preparing and processing payroll details for multiple Pursuit lines of business in the U.S and Canada. This role is based in the Calgary office of Pursuit Support Services. Some travel to and from other locations will be required. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and reside in Calgary.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $60,000/year to $75,000/year. We offer a comprehensive suite of benefits, including a 401k matching plan, flexible time off, and discounts at our restaurants, hotels and attractions.

What will you do in this job?:

  • Business Partnership Process bi-weekly payroll for US entities in ADP system.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholding, and deductions.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized payroll records, including employee information, tax forms, and other related documents.
  • Prepare and maintain reports for management and accounting purposes.
  • Respond to team member inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and benefits deductions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other People & Culture team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll administration and implement changes with approval from the Manager of Payroll.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred or comparable experience.
  • 4+ years experience in payroll processing, preferably using ADP.
  • Solid understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Effective communication with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
