Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up various manual and computer programmed machines.
• Operate equipment according to established procedures.
• Troubleshoot minor problems with fixtures or tooling.
• Change tools, inserts and adjust offsets as required to maintain tolerances.
• Check own parts against blue print drawings in various stages of production.
• Identify irregularities in parts and non conformance to quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Machinist Certificate of Qualification is an asset.
• 4+ years' work experience in a machine shop environment with large horizontal or vertical mills.
• Heidenhain CNC control experience is an asset.
• Ability to interpret blue print drawings and accurately read various measuring tools.
• Understanding of machinery and equipment and material tolerances.
• Rotating shifts.
