Job Posting We are currently hiring for a B Pressure Welder / Lead hand role

for a manufacturing shop located in Calgary, Alberta. This job opportunity will provide full time hours, long term benefits with stability and longevity for the right candidate.

Description:

As a lead, the welder will be playing a player-coach role for a team of 5-10 individuals once the projects gets going, they will be responsible for helping the shop foreman keep track of the work and keep the crew on task. The contractor would be working on a pressure piping vessel project to begin with. The vessels will be extremely large and the contractor will be tasked with following P&ID drawings to put them together. The project will move from setup and prep, to fabrication and to finishing. The contractors will be asked to help out as needed around the facility if there is a delay in work on the vessels.

Shift:

7AM-3:30PM, Monday - Friday, opportunity for OT, go to 10 HR shifts and Saturday work

Wage:

$46.00 - $48.00 Depending experience level

Must have skills:
  • Experience as a lead hand (1+ years)
  • B Pressure Welder certification
  • Journeyman welder certification
  • MIG experience
  • Vessel* and Spooling experience
  • Overhead Crane (3 years)
  • Fitting experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with Seam and Circ welds
  • Prep Cuts Panel experience
