Working out of the GFL North Vancouver team office, this role is an oversite position and leading role of the Commodity Sales group. Reporting to the Director Commodity Sales & Procurement, Western Canada this position requires a hands-on organized individual that can prioritize and manage an entire book of business. The role is instrumental in the day-to-day activity of planning, moving, problem solving and creating effective decisions and accurate data entries. Working closely with the GFL North Vancouver staff, accounting staff, and other Business Unit staff, this person will be driven to provide expertise in commodity movement and assist with issues pertaining to the local operations. With the direction of the Director Commodity Sales & Procurement, Western Canada we will work closely to ensure all materials and all issues are dealt with and handled for both GFL volume and contractual obligation volumes from Municipal and or EPR programs. Key interaction with all departments as the "gate keeper" of compliance and standard business operations. Assist with strategic implementation of goals and targets and help drive the team to accuracy for data entry. This key role will be the support that the Commodity Sales and Recycling Co Ordinator's need to provide success in their roles. Monday to Friday 8:15am to 4:15pm or as needed

Job Duties:
  • Data entry - weight confirmation, freight rates
  • Review reports on scale activities, sales activities and system issues.
  • Move orders through the system to approved and complete status.
  • Review and manage invoices for pricing and volume sales.
  • Review and update monthly pricing memos to suppliers.
  • Train and work with staff to Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound loads
  • Work with other GFL business units to coordinate and schedule movements.
  • Assist with account reconciliation – requires basic understanding of AR/AP principles.
  • Computer platform experience, excel, word, outlook, teams.
  • Other administrative duties to be assigned as required by the team.
  • Perform tasks associated with system entries for pricing and orders.
  • Work with customs documentation.
  • Work with GFL North Vancouver Commodity Sales and logistics staff.
  • Work with scale house staff.
  • Work with Plant Managers and Business unit GMs on quality issues and shipping concerns.
  • Problem solves with support from various levels.
  • Be the local expert on material types, values, data entry and system requirements.
  • Participate in weekly Commodity and Logistics calls/meetings and provide updates.
  • Other duties assigned by manager.

Pay - $69,000 - $74,000/yr. #GFLTalent
