The rustic desserts of La Gâtelière are distinguished by their rich and indulgent taste experiences and by the deliberate choice of authentic, whole ingredients. La Gâtelière is seeking a pastry chef to join the production team. This is an ideal position for a passionate individual looking for stimulating challenges in a growing company. Tasks- Prepare products with consistent quality, respecting recipe sheets and requirements (portions, measurements, packaging, control, baking, mixing, etc.).
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and items ready for sale.
- Receive and place orders during supplier deliveries.
- Prepare production tools and equipment.
- Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and dishwashing areas.
- Respect and apply food safety standards and procedures.
- Prepare and package products and get them ready for shipping.
- Organize and maintain the workspace.
- Any other related tasks.
- Ability to follow recipes and established procedures.
- Ability to work standing all day (with breaks).
- Endurance and physical strength (lifting 25-kilo blocks of butter, 20-kilo tubs and bags of flour/sugar).
- Enjoy creating.

- 3 years of experience in the profession.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to commute to work in person at the workshop.
- Experience with pastry equipment.
- Speak French.
- Diploma (DEP) in pastry.
- MAPAQ hygiene and sanitation certification.
- Own a vehicle.
- Experience with integrated management software (ERP).
- Detain a valid driver's License.
- Daytime, Monday to Thursday and sometimes Friday AM.
- Dayshifts. Weekends off.

- 2 weeks of vacation per year (4%).

Full-time
SalaryStarting at $21.00 per hour. Overtime paid and compensated.
