IT Support Specialist

Adecco is currently recruiting for an IT Support Specialist for a 2-month Hybrid contract with a possibility of extension. This role is with our client in Ottawa, ON. The IT Support Specialist will have the following responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee server and network operations;
• Perform routine maintenance and updates;
• Provide basic technical support to office staff both onsite and remotely;
• Respond promptly to IT requests and issues, particularly on high-traffic days;
• Install and configure software and hardware as needed;
• Set up accounts in Microsoft Office and configure printers;
• Familiarity with CRM databases is a plus;
• Assist staff with IT-related issues and provide training as necessary;
• Ensure a smooth transition by overlapping with the current employee before they leave for two months;
• Other duties as required;

The IT Support Specialist must meet the following mandatory requirements:

• Must have knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure;
• Must have proficiency with software and hardware installations (onsite and remotely);
• Must have experience with setting up Microsoft Office accounts and printers;
• Must have ability to manage server and network maintenance;
• Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to IT requests;
• Must have an Excellent interpersonal skills and patience.
