Our client is sourcing a Senior Financial Accountant for a 3-Month Contract.

About the Opportunity

Journals are all required to include and reference detailed backup, which supports and explains the rationale for each entry. This requires keen analytical and documentation skills

Complex journal entries included are: Revenue recognition, reporting line by line for ministry data, payroll entries, chargebacks and accruals

Reconciliations of complex accounts are needed to ensure accurate reporting of balance sheet accounts

This role is crucial as it helps management make decisions that will impact that financial statements

Requires technical knowledge of MIS reporting standards, complex excel functions, and Access Charity Information Return and Stats Can (Semi Annual)

Employing a forecasting methodology to estimate future capital spend

Month End Closing Duties - Performing general closing duties (opening new periods, running settlements, foreign currency translation, etc.)

Monthly Financial Statements Using Excel functions, summarizing the data into an internal financial package, and running checks to make sure balance sheet and cash flow reconcile, and consolidated statements reconcile

Other internal reporting as required

Other detailed analysis and reporting, externally and internally as required

About You

Accounting Designation

5 years plus full cycle accounting, financial reporting experience

Exposure to large ERP's and advanced excel

Exposure to the not-for-profit sector

Excellent communication skills
