Our client in the chemicals industry is seeking a permanent, full-time Forklift Driver to join their team. In this role, you will be overseeing the transportation of chemicals in a warehouse and laboratory department for the company. The ideal candidate will have strong forklift experience, familiarity and knowledge of chemicals, and be a motivated self-starter which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:$70k to $75k per year (commensurate on experience)
What's the Job?Work within warehouse environment, as well as safe and correct handling, transporting, and moving chemicals around the facility. General duties in laboratory and warehouse as required including: ensuring safety standards, chemical transportation, some chemical calculus, etc. Adhere to high safety standards in handling chemicals, must be able to respond efficiently to any emergencies accordingly. Effectively communicate with suppliers, staff members, and stakeholders. Will be training under current Manager in place with potential to grow to leadership role. Able to be flexible and learn different aspects of the business, as needed.
What's Needed?Chemical or Mechanical Engineering background is preferred. 3+ years' prior experience with forklift operation is required. Must have TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification). Ability and familiarity with transporting IBC totes. Able to life 30kg. Self-motived, driven, and quick thinker. Ability to be diligent and respond to issues in a quick manner. Ability to do chemical calculus is an asset. Must be able to lead by example and unafraid to be hands on.
