Position overview

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Planner in the Facilities Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Manager, Planning and Scheduling, the successful candidates will provide equipment and facility capability, reliability and availability to the traveling public, tenants, business partners, government agencies, and internal and external stakeholders by planning and scheduling preventative and corrective maintenance of all assets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing weekly crew block work order scheduling and kitting of parts and materials
  • Meeting regularly with Supervisors to review, discuss and reach consensus on crew block work order schedules
  • Communicating with Operations to request gate and bridge closures, as required
  • Meeting with Maintenance Planners and Manager, Planning and Scheduling on a daily basis to review, discuss and action notes
  • Receiving turnover packages from Engineering and other departmental Project Managers, ensuring the quality of information transitioned and that new assets, job plan, preventive maintenance records and warranty information is accurately entered into the CMMS
  • Preparing monthly budget forecast and accrual reports
  • Training all Maintenance users on the proper use of Maximo
  • Serving as a mentor and guide to the Maintenance Planners

Key qualifications include:

  • At least five years' experience planning, inspecting and evaluating preventative/repair maintenance needs of complex equipment and facilities, supplemented by the completion of a college certificate or diploma in engineering, technology, business or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Proven experience analyzing complex problems, evaluating alternatives and recommending effective courses of action, as well as developing and promoting work standards and processes
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles and methods of effective maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Expert level knowledge of:
    • Core modules of Maximo (i.e., Work Order Tracking, Assets, Job Plans, Preventive Maintenance)
    • BI Reporting Tools (e.g., AIRS) for budgeting and accrual reports
    • MS Office (especially Excel)
    • Building and managing schedules and shift change notices in Kronos
  • Well developed interpersonal skills as this role works proactively and respectfully with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Class 5 provincial driver's license

Salary Range: $86,326 to $112,823 per annum, based on a 40-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications and internal equity.
