High Performance at Neo

We recruit, hire, and build our company culture around these attributes:

Teamwork: We trust, respect, encourage, and show up for each other — through good times and hard. We're on this mission not just for ourselves, but also for the people we work with — and ultimately, for our customers.

Ownership: We all have a stake in Neo's success — so we go out of our way to do what needs to get done. We hold ourselves accountable to deliver on our commitments — to our customers, to our partners, and to our team. When we fall short, we find a way to do better in the future.

Professional Integrity: We're asking millions of Canadians to trust us with their hard-earned money — so we hold ourselves (and each other) to the highest standards of integrity.

The Role:

Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Administrator at Neo Financial, where you will play a critical role in shaping our payroll operations. This role encompasses the oversight of payroll processing for all employees, assisting administration of our Employee Equity Plan and adherence to all compliance frameworks. Reporting to the Total Rewards Lead, you will collaborate closely with Workforce Management, Accounting, Legal, and People Operations Coordinators to deliver accurate and timely payroll services.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Oversee and conduct final reviews for the payroll processing of full-time, part-time, and temporary contract employees
  • Manage all year-end payroll obligations and ensure regulatory submissions are completed on time.
  • Ensure compliance with all provincial and federal legislation affecting payroll.
  • Provide assistance in administration of Neo's equity plan on an as-needed basis.
  • Implement payroll best practices that enhance workflow and reduce processing time.
  • Maintain stringent internal controls and manage audit trails to ensure accountability.
  • Execute monthly reconciliation of benefits payments and oversee accurate payroll disbursement.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • A payroll expert with a solid track record in full-cycle payroll and benefits administration, managing a fast paced work environment in tech or finance sectors
  • Proven experience in a large-scale organization (500+ employees) and familiarity with payroll software and systems
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and best practices across Alberta, Ontario, and Manitoba.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of mentoring a team and driving strategic payroll initiatives.
  • A process-oriented thinker with a knack for driving efficiencies and proactive problem solving.
  • High organizational and detail-orientation skills with a strong sense of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Experience with Morgan Stanley Shareworks Platform is an asset
  • Experience with Rippling Platform is an asset
