TV2 Consulting is a talented and detail-oriented Web Developer with expertise in web page load optimization, specifically utilizing Google's PageSpeed Insights.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and understand project requirements related to web page load times.
- Implement best practices for web performance optimization, ensuring fast and efficient page loading across various devices and browsers.
- Conduct thorough performance audits using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to address bottlenecks and optimize critical rendering paths for improved page loading speed.
- Work closely with designers and front-end developers to ensure that visually rich content does not compromise performance.
- Continuously monitor and analyze website performance metrics, providing recommendations and implementing optimizations as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in web performance optimization.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Web Developer with a focus on web page load optimization.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Google PageSpeed Insights and other performance measurement tools.
- Experience with performance tuning, code splitting, lazy loading, and other optimization techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) and their implementation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Benefits
- Work hours are Monday - Friday, normal 37.5 hours weeks working onsite up to 3 days a week
- Location: Onsite in Toronto
- Type of job: Temporary Contractor
- Hourly contract rate: TBD depending on experience
- Date candidate required: Immediate
- Length of Contract: 12 months with the possibility of extension
