SUMMARY

The Event Cleaner is responsible for cleaning during and after events at the Canadian Tire Centre and is responsible for ensuring all areas are properly cleaned and maintained according to standards.

This is a part-time position that works events only. Typical shifts are 8 hours in length starting at 4pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ongoing

  • Cleaning guest areas
  • Emergency calls during events (spills)
  • Help clean locker rooms, guest dressing rooms, banquet rooms and all restaurants after events.
  • Other duties as assigned by custodial supervisor and assistant supervisor

Health & Safety Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Responsible for ensuring that all areas covered by Occupational Health & Safety Act are adhered to, specifically;

  • Working in compliance with the provisions of the OHSA regulations and internal policies and procedures
  • Using or wearing protective equipment, devices or clothing when required
  • Reporting any missing or defective equipment or protective device which could endanger himself or herself or another team member
  • Reporting any contravention of the OHSA regulations or Senators Sports & Entertainment policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Prior office cleaning experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of occupational health and standard safety act
  • Able to work quickly and independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Able to perform tasks requiring physical endurance
  • Must possess effective oral and written communication skills
  • Able to provide a clear Criminal Records Check (Level 1)
  • Access to own transportation
