Job Summary

Our IDS Montreal location is looking for a Product Compliance Engineer/Specialist. The successful individual will be responsible for leading product Certification projects and for providing technical support to Sales and other internal Customers. They will also act as specialist and a liaison agent between IPEX's Innovation, Operation, Sales, Purchasing Marketing departments and Standards writing organizations for a range of product.

Principal Responsibilities

• Certification Project Management for multi-functional teams.

• Acts as certification liaison between IPEX's products and third-party testing agencies; Initiates process & follow-up on process to harmonize certification throughout the company.

• Responsible for reviewing certification costs, approving invoices and allocating costs to the correct General Ledger as the need arises.

• Design, prepares and maintains IPEX product quality plan according to certification requirements as per Technical Services procedures.

• Support Operation resolving Certification Agencies NCR and coordinate plant's effort to provide uniform Quality Control and Quality Assurance.

• Participates as IPEX representative in standard writing processes such as CSA, ASTM, UL and BNQ through correspondence and meetings.

• Participate to new product development process by acting as a prime resource for understanding standard and certification process.

• Support Purchasing and Sourcing department by providing product certification requirements.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications & experience

• Completion of University degree in Engineering, with a specialization in Design.

• 2+ years of tried experience crafting pipe or pressure vessels in Thermoplastic material.

• Strong Organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• Ability to use test and scientific method.

• Strong Project Management skills and Knowledge of MS Suites.

• Bilingual (English and French).

• Member of OIQ or PEO with Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 QMS.

• Experience in Sales is an asset.

• Available to travel 20% of time
