We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer to lead the implementation of vulnerability management solutions for a large organization. You will be joining Sopra Steria's Cybersecurity division (I2S), in our downtown Toronto office located in Financial District. In this position, you will be crucial in improving our client's cybersecurity framework through the deployment, management, and optimization of security measures. This role demands a proactive security mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and the flexibility to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment.

Sopra Steria Infrastructure & Security Services (I2S) is a subsidiary of Sopra Steria dedicated to infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity activities. It plays a key role in Sopra Steria's end-to-end services. Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment and configuration of a vulnerability management solutions (Tenable/Qualys)
  • Manage the onboarding of new assets into security frameworks, ensuring all devices and data are fully protected
  • Respond to, investigate, and resolve security incidents and alerts, minimizing the impact on the organization
  • Regularly review and update security policies and procedures to align with best practices and emerging threats
  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary security enhancements
  • Provide expert guidance and support in the selection of new security technologies and tools
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation on security processes, incidents, and resolutions
  • Facilitate training sessions on security awareness and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+) preferred
  • 5 years of experience in deploying vulnerability management solution
  • 3+ years' experience in a cybersecurity role, with a focus on endpoint security, including EPP, EDR, MTD, and XDR technologies
  • Strong understanding of network and information security principles and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in the deployment and management of security solutions and handling security incidents
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical issues and solutions to non-technical stakeholders
  • Organized with a proven ability to work autonomously, prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively in a challenging environment to drumbeat the activity
  • Previous work in a multicultural environment
  • English required / French is a plus
