POSITION SUMMARY

The Shipping Coordinator supports the Materials Department in achieving world-class performance by managing and coordinating all shipping-related activities. This role ensures efficient, accurate, and timely movement of materials while continuously seeking improvements through training and professional development.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Coordinate shipping and processing of all materials, including non-scanner items.
• Eliminate past due demand, including PPSO orders.
• Collaborate with internal departments on all shipping functions.
• Investigate shipping issues and determine root causes of variances.
• Manage and ensure accuracy of shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading).
• Oversee error lists and IR (In-Transit Receipt) lists for all plants.
• Coordinate trucking logistics with transportation providers.
• Report daily on materials from special lists; track shipment timeliness.
• Ensure all required documents are accurate and attached to outgoing materials.
• Maintain compliance with MSDS, customs, FedEx/UPS, Proforma, and shipping regulations.

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Grade 12 Education, related shipping/receiving experience considered an asset
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret large volumes of data
• Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Skilled in using effective planning tools such as checklists and shortage lists to organize daily tasks
• Excellent internal communication skills, with a focus on maintaining professionalism and proper email etiquette
