We are now looking for a Automotive Service Technician:
- Keep Shop and work areas clean
- Service and repair customer vehicles
- Provide estimates for tire and parts replacement on vehicles
- Keep oil and all chemicals stocked
- Keep inventory of all shop supplies up to date and stocked
- Perform and inspect vehicles for Ontario Safety Inspection
- Report any issues to the Mechanical Supervisor
- Complete estimate sheet (SOP) for body shop collision estimates and email them to appropriate personnel.
- Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, and replacing filters.
- Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
- Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting road tests, adjusting controls and systems.
- Complies with provincial vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
- Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
- Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
Requirements
- Bilingual French and English.
- Automotive Service/Mechanical experience.
