We are looking for a proactive and analytical Procurement Analyst to join our team and support strategic sourcing and cost management initiatives that contribute directly to operational efficiency and profitability.

As a Procurement Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing procurement activities with a strong emphasis on cost savings, cost audits, vendor performance, and contract negotiations. You will analyze purchasing trends, manage supplier relationships, and implement procurement best practices to ensure financial control and long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities:

    • Lead and support procurement initiatives focused on cost optimization and reduction, while maintaining required quality and service levels.
    • Perform detailed analysis of purchasing patterns and cost trends to identify and act on cost-saving opportunities.
    • Conduct regular cost audits to track procurement spending and ensure alignment with the company's budget and financial targets.
    • Monitor and manage procurement performance, including supplier contracts, SLAs, and budget adherence.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors to ensure the company secures the most competitive deals without compromising service quality.
    • Maintain strong vendor relationships to support business requirements and foster long-term partnerships.
    • Track and report on key procurement KPIs including cost savings achieved, supplier performance, and process efficiency.
    • Work closely with Finance to resolve invoice discrepancies, validate pricing, and ensure accurate cost reporting.
    • Assist in forecasting procurement needs and support the annual budgeting process.
    • Ensure procurement documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with internal controls and audit requirements.
    • Recommend and support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, leveraging industry best practices and automation tools where possible.

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a procurement, sourcing, or cost management role—preferably in a transportation or logistics environment.
    • Proven experience in cost control, cost tracking, and vendor negotiation.
    • Strong negotiation skills with a solid understanding of contract management.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts) and other MS Office tools.
    • Experience with procurement systems or ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a strong asset.
