We are looking for a Manager, Quality Services to join our dynamic team of pharmaceutical consultants. Working alongside the senior importing management team, you will be responsible for managing a team of 4+ individuals, as well as maintaining your own client workload. Reporting to the VP Quality Services.
Quality Services requires strong project management and personnel skills and is responsible for the
following:
Importing Tasks:
- Establishing importing project plans to capture all aspects of the scope of work
- Coaching team and customers on GMP and medical devices importation requirements
- Maintaining billable hours as per company targets
- Assisting with identifying, assessing, and resolving project issues and risks through corporate and/or importing corrective action process
- Assisting with project kick off, closeout and post-mortems
- Meeting efficiency and consultant optimization targets
- Serving as a technical resource
- Hosting Health Canada and client audits
- Reviewing and approving deviations, complaints, change controls and CAPA for importing clients
- Developing, reviewing and approving importing SOPs
Managerial Tasks:
- Leading customer project fulfillment, as the primary customer contact
- Managing team schedules and workload
- Managing direct reports and project teams
- Performing annual performance reviews with employees
- Employee time off scheduling and approvals
- Ensuring projects stay on time and on budget
- Managing your team to ensure compliance with Q&C standards and practices
- Recommending and implementing improvements to the service delivery model
- Assisting with sales activities as required
- Participating in business planning, and internal ISO system management activities
Human Resources:
- Working closely with Human Resources to attract and retain exceptional talent
- Assisting in the hiring process
- Participate on the Q&C's recruitment and interview team
Requirements
- 5 + years managerial experience in a pharmaceutical environment. Exposure or experience with consulting organizational structures or importing regulated products is an asset
- 7 + years experience in drug, natural health product and medical device importing quality systems, preferably with exposure to oversight of a distribution warehouse
- Excellent people management skills
- Technical writing experience
- Project management skills
- Post-secondary degree, in a scientific field
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Outlook)
