We are excited to announce an opening for a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic at our state-of-the-art Edmonton facility. This full-time, year-round position offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse fleet of heavy equipment crucial to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty equipment including excavators, loaders, and trucks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections, ensuring equipment is compliant with safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues effectively.
  • Create and maintain detailed records of service and repairs performed.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and management to prioritize repairs and maintenance needs.
  • Mentor apprentice mechanics and encourage a learning environment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to company safety practices.

Requirements

  • A valid Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification (Red Seal).
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy-duty equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot various issues in a methodical manner.
  • Comfortable with technology and familiar with work order software.
  • Must hold a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license.
  • Knowledge of industry safety regulations and compliance practices.
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach.
  • Experience with CVIP inspections is an asset.
