We are seeking a qualified contractor to deliver two (2) technical training sessions for RFID hardware and software recently installed at Library and Archives Canada (LAC). This includes handheld scanners and gate/fixed reader systems. The objective is to provide in-depth, hands-on training to up to ten (10) LAC representatives so they can train end-users on the RFID system.

Location: Remote and/or Onsite (as required)
Client: Library and Archives Canada (LAC)
Contract Type: Short-Term Contract
Timeline: Training delivery within 5 business days of installation/testing confirmation
Language Requirements: English (training delivery), English and French (materials)

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver two (2) technical training sessions, in person and/or online:
    • One on handheld scanners and software functionalities
    • One on RFID gate/fixed reader functionalities
  • Conduct each session within five (5) business days of receiving written confirmation from LAC of installation/testing completion.
  • Facilitate "train the trainer" format: comprehensive function review and hands-on practice for participants.
  • Deliver all training in English.
  • Provide electronic copies of all training materials in both English and French, in a format suitable for printing.
  • Conduct sessions during regular LAC business hours: 08:00–16:00 ET, Monday–Friday (excluding statutory holidays).

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering technical training on RFID systems.
  • Familiarity with both handheld RFID scanners and fixed gate/reader systems.
  • Proven ability to deliver structured and clear "train the trainer" sessions.
  • Ability to provide bilingual written training materials.
  • Secret Security Clearance
