We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Toronto. In this leadership role, you'll work alongside a passionate group of engineers, technologists, and project partners, contributing your expertise across a wide range of impactful projects—from healthcare, institutional, and residential developments to sports and recreation, cultural, and civic buildings.

What will you do?
As a Senior Structural Engineer at Entuitive, your responsibilities will include:
Leadership & Oversight
- Lead internal structural design teams from schematic design through construction.
- Delegate and oversee technical work of junior engineers and technologists to ensure quality and consistency.
- Mentor junior staff, fostering their growth in design, technical execution, and project delivery.
- Play an active role in project planning and resourcing alongside other senior team members.
Client & Team Collaboration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects.
- Lead client and consultant meetings, guiding the design process and resolving technical challenges.
- Collaborate closely with architects and consultants from all disciplines to coordinate fully integrated design solutions.
Design & Technical Execution
- Develop structural design concepts and framing systems, delivering integrated solutions across a range of materials including steel, concrete, masonry and mass timber.
- Review and coordinate architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural documentation to ensure alignment and quality.
- Work with BIM technologists to prepare accurate and coordinated engineering drawings and contract documents.
- Conduct site visits and field reviews, completing contract administration duties and documentation as required.
- Apply internal QA/QC protocols, checklists, and peer reviews to uphold technical excellence.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
- Minimum of 8 years of structural engineering experience in the AEC industry.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering large, complex projects across sectors such as healthcare, institutional, residential, cultural, and recreation.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills with a proven ability to manage technical teams.
- Deep understanding of structural design and analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, SAFE, ETABS, RAM).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable building codes and standards.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Interest or experience in sustainability and embodied carbon is considered an asset.

How does collaboration happen?
