Mandate:

Reporting to the department manager, the Customs Compliance Associate will be responsible for advisory services in various areas of customs compliance. The candidate will also be involved in Delmar's internal customs processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare B2s and drawbacks for submission to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), monitor their completion, and keep clients informed of status updates.
  • Invoice clients for B2s, FTAs, drawbacks, and related advisory services.
  • Provide assistance and advisory services in document preparation for clients, including but not limited to HS classification, FTA analysis, customs valuation assessments, commodity tax analysis, duty deferral and drawbacks, customs verification, audit support (both internal and external), preparation of single and blanket B2s, application of customs rulings, appeals, report generation, etc.
  • Update CargoWise with FTAs and maintain the client product database.
  • Support the Regulatory Compliance Manager with special projects & other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience within the customs brokerage industry is preferred
  • College Degree in International Transportation & Customs or related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of Canadian customs regulations and trade processes is an asset
  • Experience in CargoWise One system or related brokerage systems is an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • CCS/CTCS designation is an asset

Mandat:

Relevant de la gestionnaire de département, l'associé(e) à la conformité douanière sera responsable des services-conseils dans divers domaines de la conformité douanière. Le candidat sera également impliqué dans les processus douaniers internes de Delmar.

Responsabilités:

  • Préparer les formulaires B2 et les demandes de ristournes pour soumission à l'Agence des services frontaliers du Canada (ASFC), surveiller leur traitement et tenir les clients informés des mises à jour.
  • Assistance et conseil pour la préparation de documents clients, incluant classification SH, analyse ALE, évaluations douanières, taxes à la consommation, report et ristourne des droits, vérification et soutien d'audit douanier, préparation des B2, application des décisions douanières, recours, et génération de rapports.
  • Facturer les clients pour les B2, les ALE, les ristournes et les consultations.
  • Mettre à jour CargoWise avec les FTA et maintenir la base de données des produits clients.
  • Soutenir la gestionnaire avec des projets spéciaux.

Exigences:

  • Minimum 1-2 ans d'expérience dans le secteur du courtage en douane
  • Diplôme collégial en transport international et douanes ou dans un domaine connexe
  • Connaissance des réglementations douanières canadiennes et des processus commerciaux (atout)
  • Connaissance du système CargoWise One ou des systèmes de courtage connexes (atout)
  • Le titre CCS/CTCS (atout)
  • Maîtrise de MS Office, avec des compétences intermédiaires à avancées en Excel, Word et PowerPoint
