  • Coordinate scheduled database maintenance windows and communicate accordingly.
  • Provide on-call support as needed, responding within timelines as defined in On Call Policy and DBA SLA.
  • Address unscheduled database outages and performance issues by diagnosing errors, implementing recovery strategies, logging and tracking problems, escalating as needed, and participating in debriefings to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform incident diagnosis by examining individual SQL statements, tables, process and system architecture.
  • Tune individual SQL statements by rewriting, adding or modifying indexes or modifying database tables.
  • Address a variety of database integration issues including data access, data migration, integration and maintenance/conversion.
  • Maintain database support tools including database management software and related products.
  • Participate in defining and executing Servus' Azure SQL IaaS / PaaS support model.

Requirements

  • In depth knowledge of the Microsoft SQL Server platform (2022, 2019, 2017, 2016).
