Overview
We are looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to join our innovative team in Edmonton, AB. In this position, you will be responsible for creating user-centered designs that improve the overall experience of our telehealth platform. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and healthcare professionals to deliver intuitive, engaging, and accessible user interfaces that cater to older adults' needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile platforms.
- Design user flows and sitemaps that effectively guide users through the platform.
- Ensure that designs adhere to best practices in user-centered design and accessibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and provide support for design decisions throughout the development lifecycle.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure Total Life's UI/UX remains at the forefront of mental healthcare technology.

- Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Please note that only in-person applicants will be considered for this role)
- Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Canada
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability testing, and accessibility standards.
- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and visual mockups that align with total life's branding and goals.
- Experience conducting user research, user testing, and gathering user feedback to inform design improvements.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale.
- Passion for improving mental healthcare through thoughtful and innovative design.
- Familiarity with design systems and responsive design principles.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 CAD per year
