POSITION GOAL:
Accountable for completion of design tasks, Bill of Material releases and projects from concept to implementation in production. This will include all related design activities, calculations, communications, drawings and bill of material.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Completes design tasks and project assignments which support production activities.
2. Coordinates own tasks to ensure schedule and dates are met considering vendor and production lead times.
Includes maintaining task status and recording time on each task.
3. Creates designs that meet customer specifications, Technical Summaries, other contracts documents and ensure
designs are within manufacturing abilities.
4. Ensures compliance with design criteria and all applicable regulations.
5. Completes or initiates controlled testing of components and installations in order to meet contractual obligations,
ensure product reliability and verify component fit.
6. Completes technical drawings and release documents in accordance with Engineering procedures and ENAs
(Notices of Action).
7. Provides Engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support, and other departments
as required.
8. Interacts with vendors and customers on design related issues. Ensures that, where applicable, there are
documents of vendor approval on new installations or applications.
Requirements
- Education & Experience: College graduate with 1–3 years of experience, preferably in manufacturing and assembly.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) / Unigraphics drafting.
- Core Competencies: Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Travel: Less than 5% travel required.
- Physical Activity: Includes walking, sitting, and other job-specific physical activities
