Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton.

Park Paving Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized HSE Administrator to support our Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) team. This office-based role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our safety systems, assisting field-based HSE Advisors, and maintaining compliance with client and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, advanced Microsoft Office capabilities, and experience managing online compliance platforms.

Key Information:

  • Based on a 40-hour work week (8 hours a day, Monday - Friday) with the potential of overtime as required.
  • Hourly rate is dependent on experience.
  • This is a year-round position with winter work opportunities at a reduced hour level, with opportunity to increase hours based on work demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to HSE Advisors and Management with administrative functions, document control, and system updates.
  • Maintain and update safety documentation, training records, inspection logs, and internal compliance files.
  • Assist in preparing safety meeting toolbox talks, safety reports, and incident summaries.
  • Review and submit prequalification documentation as requested.
  • Review and submit monthly safety documentation to clients.
  • Support internal audits, COR documentation, and external client reviews.
  • High attention to detail and ensure data integrity in internal safety management systems and filing protocols.
  • Support return-to-work processes and light duties for injured workers, including oversight of modified work.
  • Strong organizational and ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational and time management skills, ensuring tasks are effectively prioritized and completed within established deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, with the ability to shift priorities and contribute to a collaborative safety culture.
  • Assist in ongoing review and development of policies, safe work procedures, and HSE manuals.
  • Assist with Safety/company events.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within Health & Safety or Construction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is essential.
  • Experience with online compliance platforms (ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, Avetta, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation is an asset.
  • Proficient English language skills required.
  • A reliable means of transportation is required.

Assets:

  • First Aid/ CPR and other safety training
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems/Platforms.
  • Familiarity with Greater Edmonton's construction standards and expectations.
