We require a detailed-oriented and creative Assistant Editor to support our editorial team. You will assist in organizing and preparing elements for the lead editors, while maintaining an efficient and organized editing workflow.
What you'll be doing:
- Maintaining project organization. Both within the editorial project and outside folders structures.
- Ingesting and tracking media elements, including but not limited to storyboard panels, Dialogue recordings, scripts, music and sound effects.
- Assembling video and audio elements for editors as needed.
- Preparing and delivering editorial updates to creative teams (story, animation, lighting, etc.), while keeping all teams up to date on all editorial changes.
- Preparing delivery packages for sound mixers and music editors/composers. Ensuring specifications match their individual delivery requirements.
Requirements
What you'll bring:
- 3+ years post-production experience in Animated/VFX feature film or television.
- Stron knowledge in Avid Media Composer
- A team player who understands how to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving industry
- Strong communication skills.
- Exhibit an enthusiastic attitude, willingness to learn and advance in the editorial field
- Ability to organize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Excel, Shot Grid, Photoshop and Hiero experience an asset
- Understanding of codecs, file formats, colour spaces and colour pipelines an asset
- Strong editorial skills both technically and creatively.
- Understanding of pacing and storytelling.
- A creative problem solver and a proactive thinker
Benefits
Pay Range: CAD $1300 - $1500 per week
