Who you are:

Computer Science or Engineering student looking for:

  • A challenging 4 or 8-month work term starting in September 2024.
  • Opportunity to learn technical hands-on experience.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with a friendly and collaborative team.

What you will do:

  • Maintain and add tests automated device testing systems.
  • Design and develop firmware for Semios IoT Devices.
  • Develop an understanding of the device firmware stacks and how they work.

Requirements

We want you to succeed, so you will need:

  • Experience during course work or previous work terms, writing and testing C, bonus if it was on resource-limited embedded platforms.
  • Experience during coursework or previous work terms, writing and testing Python.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly.
  • An understanding of data acquisition devices such as Analog to Digital converters is a plus.
  • Comfortable with using a DMM (digital multimeter) or a digital oscilloscope is a plus.
  • Familiarity with sensor interfacing is a plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range: $18 to $22.00 per hour.

Please note that the pay rate offered may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and experience, as well as business and organizational needs.
