At Devoted Studios, we are a codev studio specializing in production management and external development for video games. Our goal is to create conditions and tools to empower decentralized game production and provide a level playing field for global talent to contribute to their dream game projects. By decentralizing game development, we aim to create equal opportunities for all. We work in partnership with over 1400 programmers, artists, and designers, ranging from freelancers to small studios, located across the globe. Our role involves not only matching them with project opportunities but also overseeing the entire production process from start to finish.

*This is a remote, full-time contracted position and we are hiring in Canada, Europe and Latam!


We are looking for an HR professional to join our dynamic team at Devoted Studios. As an HR Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our onboarding and offboarding processes, managing internal communications, organizing training and development programs, and enhancing team engagement. Your expertise will ensure smooth HR operations and compliance with regulations. Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

1. Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Oversee Jira task preparation and execution.
  • Prepare and conduct onboarding meetings and materials.
  • Conduct OKR verification and 45-day feedback sessions.
  • Maintain the Devoted Knowledge Tracker with 1-on-1 meetings.
  • Handle trial period closures and exit interviews.
  • Organize and manage studio activities.

2. Internal Communication & Newsletters

  • Create and distribute the company newsletter.
  • Manage birthday announcements on Slack.
  • Facilitate conflict resolutions if needed.

3. Trainings & Development

  • Coordinate with English tutors, manage invoices, and track attendance.
  • Organize courses, workshops, and coaching sessions.
  • Facilitate the performance review process.

4. Out of Office procedure (OOO)

  • Monitor and track OOO notifications, coordinating with Finance on payments
  • Coordinate Out of Office (OOO) notifications and updates.
  • Provide consultation on OOO policies.

5. Merch

  • Track and manage merch orders and deliveries.
  • Coordinate with Finance for merch-related tickets.


6. Team Engagement

  • Organize activities like coffee meetings, book clubs, speed reading, and monthly events.
  • Distribute mood surveys to team leads.

7. Ad Hoc Tasks

  • Update HR policies and create relevant materials.
  • Review and update forms and conduct surveys.
  • Manage Thinkific video materials.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and offer expert HR guidance.
You will maintain and manage workflows and materials on the following company platforms:

Jira Support Center

  • Manage HR support requests.
  • Send time-tracking reminders to the production team every Monday.


Thinkific onboarding platform

  • Manage and update Thinkific lessons.
  • Check and constantly update the onboarding assignments for new team members.


People Force HR system

  • Handle profile creation and updates.
  • Maintain system integrity and relevance.
  • Create welcome posts and manage the Tasks section.


Confluence

  • Update Confluence spaces related to HRM.

JIRA

  • Check time tracking and prepare monthly reports for the Production Lead.
  • Maintain Jira tickets related to HR processes.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of proven experience in HR management within the IT or game development sectors.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT, preferably in US-based companies.
  • High level of cross-cultural competence.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and IT tools (Jira, Confluence, Thinkific, People Force).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with training and development programs.
  • Proficiency in English.
