Levr.ai is a venture-backed early-stage B2B fintech startup on a mission to transform the way businesses access capital and manage loans. As early-movers in a space with an enormous addressable market, we are looking for creative, smart, and experienced people to join us to solve problems for businesses and lenders across the globe.

About the role

As a backend developer, your focus will be on building and maintaining APIs for Levr.ai's web-based platform, while also contributing to data, infrastructure and cybersecurity projects. You will collaborate with other backend developers to architect data models, develop data analytics insights, and create tools for a pleasant developer experience.

In this high-impact role, you will work directly with the founders and other developers to contribute to the wider product strategy to build Levr.ai's future.

Requirements

• You are comfortable working remotely, with strong communication, ownership and accountability
• Solid experience in Django Rest Framework (Python)
• Experience building with relational databases (eg Postgres)
• Experience with networking, security and RBAC systems
• 4+ years of professional developer work experience
• Legally authorized to work in Canada, Levr.ai will not be sponsoring work permits for this role

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with the following:
• GCP (or AWS or Azure)
• Docker & Kubernetes
• Auth0 or other auth systems
• SQL and other query languages
• Experience in the following architectures and associated tooling:
• Event-driven architecture
• Microservice architecture
• Real-time architecture
• Experience in data lifecycle management
• Experience in statistics and data algorithms
• Affinity for creating documentation and communication/organization systems
• Experience working in an early-stage startup environment
• Knowledge of fintech or demonstrated curiosity around the industry

Compensation and other perks:

• Salary range $105,000 to $120,000 (based on experience)
• Paid vacation (based on role and seniority)
• Paid day off to celebrate your birthday
• Paid time off between Christmas and New Years
• Participation in Employee Stock Option Program (ESOP)
• If needed, Levr.ai will provide MacBook, monitor, and hardware accessories to do your best work.
