Tayco is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-orientated ERP System Specialist to join our Operations Team. We are looking for someone who is aligned with our core values of Ownership, Progressive, Efficient and Enjoyable Experiences.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The ERP System Specialist is responsible for creating and designing software systems to streamline processes and improve efficiencies within the organization. They are responsible for collaborating cross-functionally with different departments to determine which business processes need optimization, to enhance the performance of IT systems, and deploy and implement suitable ERP solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish ERP needs via business process analysis and consultation.
  • Analyze existing infrastructure and perform IT system enhancements.
  • Write customized programs and scripts, as well as configuring ERP applications.
  • Develop user-friendly functionalities and interfaces.
  • Install ERP software and ensuring seamless integration with IT systems.
  • Provide technical training to end-users as required. Assist in the development of training manuals and materials and spend time with individuals or groups for training.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and resolve issues to optimize performance.
  • Design, implement and test system updates; resolve issues; troubleshoot problems, and identify design needs.
  • Maintain and update system documentation.
  • Provide technical support and training to ERP end-users.
  • Prepare development progress updates and document ERP processes.
  • Adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Maintain system data integrity.
  • Assist in data imports.
  • Collaborate with departments on design and development of dashboards and other BI tools.
  • Update, maintain and create system reports.
  • Keep abreast of the latest ERP upgrades and offerings.
  • Data import/export, analysis and validation.
  • ERP system module creation, testing roll outs and training.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Degree, Diploma, or Certificate from a post-secondary institution in computer science, business, or a similar field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years experience as an ERP specialist in a related industry.
  • Knowledge of C++, C# or any other coding language is an asset
  • Understanding of statistical analysis is an asset.
  • Understands how to write SQL queries.
  • Software experience is considered an asset in the following: Jeeves v6.0, 2020 Insight, IMOS, Solidworks 2020, PDM 2020, AutoCad 2020, Project Spec 5, Biesse Works, Microsoft 365 apps, Crystal Reports.
  • Experience writing reports using an report editor (ie. Crystal Reports, SSRS..etc) an asset.
  • Experience with creating dashboards and other BI tools an asset.
  • Great organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and communication abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and systematic problem-solving skills.
  • Expert Knowledge of Excel higher functions an asset (Pivot Tables, Queries Formulae, ...etc)
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Detail orientated and must possess ability to work under a tight timeline.
  • Experience in project management an asset.
  • Exhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibility.
  • High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning.
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to follow health and safety policies and procedures.
