As ATB's next Specialist I, Wealth Operations Support, you are integral to the successful partnership with our Financial Advisor teams in order to provide the best-in-class service to our clients. You will provide support to our Financial Advisors and Advisory Services team by responding to operational and administrative inquiries, and aid in the creation of process job aids and resources. You will not only be curious and hungry for knowledge, but will demonstrate the ability to be a part of problem resolution both independently and within teams in order to build strong relationships with our partners.

You will find success based on your ability to:

  • Connect and cultivate productive working relationships with Financial Advisor Associates, Portfolio Associates, Financial Advisors, Senior Financial Advisors, and Investment Counselors in addition to internal ATB partners
  • Successfully provide clear communication and solutions to client inquiries while demonstrating effective management of risk with guidance or direction
  • Develop, prepare and/or maintain documentation pertaining to business processes within Wealth Operations
  • Demonstrate empathy and strong listening skills, and the ability to clearly articulate the client story with any issue that may arise
  • Look at problems through several lenses, help identify gaps and themes in the support and learning models, and be involved in the solution by creating supporting documentation including job aids for various audiences; ability to lead or assist in training sessions is an asset
  • Have a critical thinking mindset when collaborating with internal and external teams to come up with support solutions for customers
  • Support business applications

Requirements

As the ideal candidate you possess:

  • Strong understanding of the investment industry including operational processes with some understanding of compliance and risk management
  • Ability to work under high pressure situations and meet/exceed product/service standards and quality standards
  • A customer obsessed mindset
  • Canadian Securities Course a strong asset
  • 2+ years experience in securities or finance industry
  • Post secondary education in business or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, Financial Advisor practices would be a strong asset
  • Strong documentation skills and knowledge of Google Suite products a strong asset
