The Maintenance Planner will be based in the Vancouver area and responsible for planning, scheduling, creating and maintaining maintenance plans. These plans will accurately reflect the scope, time, cost, and HSSE aspects of shot-, medium-, and long-term maintenance execution strategies. This role is primarily office based with occasional travel to Squamish, BC.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in the use of CMMS and scheduling software Primavera P6 and MS Projects.
  • Plan, maintain and optimize a resource leveled schedule based on manpower inputs from execution team.
  • Identify task description, resources, materials, services, tools, duration and cost estimate.
  • Provide guidance for effective planning & scheduling and evaluate feedback for efficient execution.
  • Complete baselines and issue daily, weekly, and final schedules for tracking purposes.
  • Drive accountability for schedule updates and compliance with completion dates.
  • Maintain and prepare corrective/ preventive backlog work orders.
  • Validate job plan details and provide feedback to maintenance personnel.
  • Communicate directly with maintenance and production personnel, as well as vendors for on-site services and material lead time.
  • Ensure master data for the SAP maintenance modules are kept up to date (Asset Hierarchy, BOMs, Maintenance Work Instructions, etc.).
  • Support annual budget preparation and monthly cost controls.

Salary: Open to wage negotiations based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Background in maintenance planning & scheduling within a heavy industrial sector (petrochemical, refinery, mining processing, energy, etc.).
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience.
  • Understanding of planning & scheduling processes for maintenance execution of routine maintenance and turnaround/shutdown maintenance activities in a heavy industrial setting.
  • Must have experience with SAP-PM & SAP-MM CMMS, Primavera, and MS-Project.
  • Applicants are capable of collaborating with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering daily.
  • Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to interact/communicate with front-line workers through to management and all hierarchical levels.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-driven, manage evolving priorities and deliver on multiple commitments in a timely manner.
