Job Requirements:

In this role, MATRIX is seeking an experienced Kitchen Helper/Housekeeper for the 3 Aces Camp near Watson Lake, YT. You are team oriented, motivated, and have acute attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent time management skills. You will play a key role at one of our remote exploration camps by performing all primary kitchen help/housekeeping responsibilities in a timely manner. This position reports to the Camp Manager. Start date for this position is as soon as possible is August 5th 2023.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks according to safe work practices and safe job procedures.
• Report all incidents and accidents immediately.
• Practice good housekeeping in the work area at all times.
• Participate in daily Toolbox meetings.
• Perform cleaning and sanitization of all surfaces, equipment and small wares as per the Food Safety Plan.
• Wash and replace bed linens as required.
• Clean and sanitize Dry Areas.
• Clean common spaces at work site, TV room, dining room, laundry rooms
• Start date 1st week of July 2023

Required Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years/seasons working in a remote camp as a Housekeeper
• Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• OFA Level 1 is preferred (not required)
• Highly motivated, team-oriented individual with attention to detail.
• Ability to work a rotational schedule (3 weeks on / 3 weeks off)
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, safely.
• Able to lift and move heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, and perform physical labor.
• Able to maintain a high level of performance over a 10 – 12 hour shift.
