You'll have the opportunity to jumpstart your career at a truly exciting place to work. We have an extremely passionate and supportive team here at Float!

As a Business Development Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation – Researching and identifying potential clients using various prospecting tools and techniques.
  • Outreach – Effectively conveying Float's value to Canadian companies through cold calling, emailing, and other communication channels.
  • Relationship Building – Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within target organizations by understanding their business needs and challenges, and positioning Float as a solution.
  • Pipeline Management – Maintaining an accurate record of all communication with prospects, and organizing a stable pipeline of leads and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with Sales – Partnering with Account Executives to set up successful discovery and demo calls, and drive campaigns and tactics that get results.
  • Scaling & Refinement – Strategizing with teammates to innovate & improve the overall business development process.
  • Being the Voice of the Customer – Working internally with other departments to share feedback and raise customer stories that we can learn from.

Requirements

You'll be great in this role if:

  • You've got the experience. To be successful in this role, we're looking for an individual with strong client / customer service experience (can be within retail, food, hospitality, education, etc). Proven leadership, mentorship or instructor experience is highly preferred.
  • You're an extremely effective communicator. You have impeccable writing and speaking skills, and can effortlessly connect with any team in an organization. You have a way of cutting through the noise, capturing people's attention, and developing strong relationships.
  • You're adaptable and resilient. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, move quickly, and know how to pivot when faced with objections. Finding creative ways to problem solve and work through obstacles is fun for you.
  • You're results-driven. You have a reputation for exceeding your targets and objectives, and are motivated by new challenges.
  • You're constantly learning and growing. You relish in the fact that everyday there is an opportunity to learn something new and become an expert in. You're a quick study and can learn on the fly. You stay curious, want to make mistakes, and grow from failure.
  • You're organized, efficient, and can ruthlessly prioritize. You plan for the day, week, and month ahead in order to optimize your productivity. You're able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • You are a team player. You have a 'win together' mentality. You set a high bar for yourself and others. You proactively seek out direct feedback and are comfortable providing it as well.
