United Talent Partners is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join the team of one of our client partners. As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. You will have the opportunity to work closely with healthcare professionals and provide expert advice on the selection, dosage, and administration of medications.

In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing prescriptions, counseling patients on medication use, and monitoring drug therapy outcomes. Additionally, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and promote medication safety.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently to patients
  • Provide counseling to patients on medication use, dosage, and possible side effects
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication therapy outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and complete medication records
  • Monitor drug therapy and make recommendations for adjustments as needed
  • Participate in drug utilization reviews and medication error prevention activities
  • Educate and instruct pharmacy technicians and interns on pharmaceutical care practices

Requirements

  • Certification by the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) and in good standi
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing medical education.
  • Ability to manage a diverse range of health issues in patients of all age groups.
  • High on discipline, punctuality, courtesy, ethics, have a strong moral compass and you are compassionate.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for drug dispensing and inventory management
